What do Grade B and Grade A mean on this page?

They are the two grade options we use for this product. Current sale prices are US$12, US$22 and US$59 for Grade B 5 g, 10 g and 30 g; and US$15, US$28 and US$75 for Grade A 5 g, 10 g and 30 g. Select both Grade and Pack to confirm the live price and availability before checkout.

The labels do not establish a universal quality rank, a fixed aroma, a specific Aquilaria species or a measured resin/oil concentration. A higher-priced option should be evaluated through the selected variant, current lot photos and any batch-linked documentation available—not by the word “Grade” alone.

Why the Striped Grain Stands Out

No. The gallery shows dark and light banding on irregular wood pieces, which explains the Tiger trade name used in this product page. Color, contrast or the number of visible stripes cannot quantify resin percentage or prove that one grade contains more oil. Lighting, surface cut, moisture and image processing can also change how a pattern appears.

Agarwood varies from piece to piece, so the pack you receive will have its own pattern and outline. If a particular visual feature is important, contact us for a recent batch photo before ordering.

How should Tiger agarwood chips be heated?

Use a purpose-built electric/resin heater at a low setting and increase heat gradually until aroma is released without rapid blackening. There is no universal 170–240°C setting for every chip and heater. Reduce or stop heat when the material chars quickly or produces harsh smoke.

Never burn charcoal indoors. The CDC warns that burning charcoal produces carbon monoxide. If choosing charcoal, use it only in an open-air outdoor location away from doors, windows and vents, in a stable charcoal-rated burner on a non-combustible surface. Keep children, pets and combustibles away and supervise until the charcoal and ash are fully extinguished and cold.

How much material should you use?

Start with a small fragment that fits safely on the heating surface. Session length and aroma depend on chip mass, moisture, surface area, resin distribution, airflow and the heat source. This page does not promise a fixed dose, burn duration or room-filling result. Let the equipment cool completely before cleaning or adding material.

How should the chips be stored?

• Keep them dry in a clean, closed container away from direct sun and strong household odors.
• Do not add fragrance oil or water; doing so changes the material and prevents a clean comparison.
• Keep Grade A and Grade B variants separately labeled if both are purchased.
• If material arrives wet, moldy or different from the selected option, photograph it before use and contact support.

Is Tiger agarwood a botanical species?

No. Tiger is a trade label on this product page, not a botanical name. The visible pattern does not identify an Aquilaria species.

How do we use Grade A in this range?

We use Grade B and Grade A to organise the two selections in this Tiger range. Compare the selected option, current photos, pack size and price to choose the one that best suits you.

How should I compare the striped pattern?

Use our close-up photos to compare the contrast, grain and overall striped character you prefer. Natural pattern varies by piece; contact us for a recent batch photo when a particular look matters.

How many chips are in a pack?

The product is sold by net weight, not by a fixed piece count. Shapes and piece counts can vary among 5 g, 10 g and 30 g packs.

What heater temperature should I use?

There is no single guaranteed setting for every heater and chip. Start low, raise heat gradually and reduce or stop when the material rapidly blackens or produces harsh smoke.

Can a partially burned pack be returned?

Please review our current Returns & Refunds policy before heating, wearing, resizing or otherwise altering the product. If anything arrives damaged or different from your order, photograph it before use and contact us within seven calendar days.
