1. Guide to Measuring Wrist Circumference
You will need some simple tools:
Table of Contents
Toggle- A measuring tape (if not available, you can use a string or thread as an alternative).
- A ruler (if using string or thread).
Steps to measure:
- Determine the measuring spot:
Measure at the part of your wrist where you want to wear the bracelet (usually just above the wrist bone). Measure snugly but not too tight. - Perform the measurement:
- If using a measuring tape, wrap it around your wrist and note the measurement.
- If using string or thread, wrap it around your wrist, mark the point where the ends meet, and then measure the length of the string with a ruler.
- Record the measurement: This is your wrist circumference.
2. Choosing the Right Agarwood Bracelet
a. Regular Round Beads (larger beads, fewer beads)
- These bracelets usually have 15–21 beads, depending on bead size and wrist circumference.
- Common bead sizes: 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 16mm.
- Bracelet selection formula:
- If you prefer a snug fit: Choose a bracelet with a circumference equal to your wrist circumference.
- If you prefer a looser fit: Choose a bracelet that is 1–1.5cm larger than your wrist circumference.
Example:
- Wrist circumference: 16cm:
- 10mm beads: 17–19 beads.
- 12mm beads: 15–17 beads.
b. 108 Beads (long strand, wraps multiple times)
- This 108 beads type is typically wrapped around the wrist 3–4 times (or worn as a necklace).
- Common bead sizes: 6mm, 8mm.
- How to calculate bracelet length:
- Wrist circumference x number of wraps (usually 3 or 4).
- Then, choose a bracelet with a total length close to the calculated result.
Example:
- Wrist circumference: 16cm, wrapped 3 times:
- Total length needed: 16×3=48cm16×3=48cm.
- A 108-bead bracelet with 6mm beads (approximately 50–55cm long) would fit well.
3. Notes When Choosing an Agarwood Bracelet
- Design: Choose a style that matches your personal preference (single strand, long chain, with charms, etc.).
- Bead size: Larger beads (10mm and above) suit larger wrists, while smaller beads (6–8mm) are better for smaller wrists or women.
- Comfort: The bracelet should fit comfortably, not too tight or too loose, to avoid discomfort during extended wear.
