How are fragments different from whole pieces?
In our collection, “fragments” means smaller irregular pieces within this product page, while Ant Nest whole pieces is a separate product page. The labels distinguish product form and pack presentation; they do not prove that both pages contain the same lot, scent, resin concentration, species or quality.
Choose fragments when pack weight and smaller handling size fit the intended heater. Choose the whole-piece listing only after checking its own dimensions, price, photos and documentation. Neither format is automatically superior.
Product Report and Batch Details
Our gallery includes VNA LAB report A-160924056, dated September 16, 2024, for a referenced 2 g sample from submitted material. The document states Aquilaria crassna, “Natural Agarwood,” no treatment and VNA grade A. Contact us if you would like current report-to-batch mapping for the pack you select.
See the Natural Details in Our Photos
Our gallery helps you compare the natural colour, grain, shape and approximate scale of the pictured material. Agarwood varies from piece to piece, so the pack you receive will have its own pattern and outline. If a particular visual feature is important, contact us for a recent batch photo before ordering.
Use the separate non-destructive authenticity guide and transparent grading framework to understand what visual and heating observations can—and cannot—show.
How should Ant Nest fragments be heated?
For an electric/resin heater, begin at a low setting and raise heat gradually until aroma is released without rapid blackening. No universal 120–140°C or 170–240°C setting is guaranteed across fragments and devices. Reduce or stop heat when the piece chars quickly or produces harsh smoke.
Never burn charcoal indoors. The CDC warns that burning charcoal produces carbon monoxide. If choosing charcoal, use it only in an open-air outdoor location away from doors, windows and vents, with a charcoal-rated burner on a non-combustible surface. The gallery image is not a safety instruction. Keep children, pets and combustibles away and supervise until the charcoal and ash are fully extinguished and cold.
Read the agarwood chip heating guide and broader How to Use Agarwood hub before use. Compatible incense burners are listed separately.
Best Uses for Ant Nest Fragments
The smaller fragment format is convenient for personal aromatic heating, comparison and easy portioning. If you need material for oil extraction, incense manufacturing or another commercial process, contact us for a dedicated specification rather than relying on the retail pack description.
How should the fragments be stored?
- Keep them dry in a clean, closed container away from direct sun and strong household odors.
- Do not add fragrance oil or water; doing so changes the material and makes later comparison unreliable.
- Retain the pack label and lot/report reference separately from another agarwood product.
- If the pack arrives wet, moldy or different from the selected option, photograph it before use and contact support.

Ant Nest fragments FAQ
What does Ant Nest mean in this range?
Ant Nest is the trade name we use for this irregular, patterned fragment style. It helps distinguish the format within our collection; contact us if you need current batch or sourcing details.
Does the VNA LAB image certify every current pack?
Not automatically. It describes a dated 2 g sample from a submitted 100 g material record. Contact us to map the current pack to that report or provide a newer lot record.
Is the VNA grade A a universal agarwood grade?
No. It is the grading conclusion shown within the issuer’s own scheme, not a globally harmonized agarwood grade.
How many pieces are in a pack?
The product is sold by net weight, not by fixed piece count. Fragment shape and count can vary among packs.
What heater temperature should I use?
No single setting is guaranteed for every heater and fragment. Start low, increase gradually and stop or reduce heat when the material rapidly blackens or produces harsh smoke.
Can a partially burned pack be returned?
Please review our current Returns & Refunds policy before heating, wearing, resizing or otherwise altering the product. If anything arrives damaged or different from your order, photograph it before use and contact us within seven calendar days.
