What does “activated charcoal” mean on this page?
“Activated Charcoal” is our current product name. We offer these tablets only as a combustible heat source for aromatic material; we do not present them as food, medicine, a detox product, a water filter, a cosmetic ingredient or hookah charcoal. Contact us if an activation-process or composition document is essential to your purchase.
Are ignition time, burn time and heat output guaranteed?
No. The previous listing stated five-second ignition, 60–90-minute burn time, 8% ash and more than 7,000 cal/g without a batch-linked test. Those figures have been removed. Actual ignition and burn behavior can change with tablet condition, ignition tool, wind, humidity, burner design and handling. Do not use a timer, color change or lack of visible flame as proof that a tablet is safe to touch or bring indoors.
Why is charcoal an outdoor-only product?
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention states that burning charcoal—whether red, gray, black or white—gives off carbon monoxide and should never occur indoors. CO is colorless and odorless and can cause sudden illness or death. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission charcoal guidance likewise warns against charcoal use in homes, garages, vehicles, tents, campers and other enclosed areas.
An open window, fan or ordinary room ventilation does not make indoor charcoal use safe. Keep the outdoor setup well away from openings that could draw fumes into a building. If anyone develops headache, dizziness, weakness, nausea, vomiting, chest pain or confusion, move to fresh air and seek urgent medical help; do not attempt to diagnose exposure from smell.
How should a charcoal tablet be handled outdoors?
- Choose an open-air outdoor area on a stable, noncombustible surface, away from doors, windows, vents, dry vegetation and flammable objects.
- Use a charcoal-rated burner that securely contains the tablet, heat and ash. Keep a suitable extinguishing method nearby.
- Use long tongs and an ignition tool according to their manufacturers’ instructions. Keep your face, hair and loose clothing away from sparks and heat.
- Allow the tablet to establish outdoors before adding a very small amount of aromatic material. Do not overload or move a hot burner.
- Supervise continuously. Keep children, pets and bystanders away from the entire hot zone.
- When finished, extinguish completely in accordance with the burner and local fire-safety instructions. Treat the tablet, ash and burner as hot until fully cold; never take used coals indoors to cool or store.
What burner should be used?
Use only a stable, heat-resistant product explicitly designed for charcoal. Decorative holders that are not charcoal-rated can crack, tip, transfer heat or expose hot ash. Review our charcoal-burner category as a catalog route, but verify the individual burner instructions and outdoor suitability before pairing it with these tablets. An electric incense burner avoids combustion of charcoal but still requires its own heat and electrical precautions.
Can the tablets be used with agarwood powder, chips or incense?
The previous product record listed agarwood chips and powder as intended uses. Compatibility is not universal: fine powder can scatter, some materials can flare or create excessive smoke, and oils or unknown blends should not be poured onto hot charcoal. Follow the aromatic-material and burner instructions, begin with a very small amount outdoors and stop if the setup becomes unstable or produces unexpected flame or smoke. See the agarwood use guide and agarwood chip-heating guide for product-form context; the outdoor-only charcoal warning takes precedence.
How should unused tablets be stored?
Keep unused tablets dry, sealed in their original labeled packaging and away from heat, flame, sparks, children and pets. Do not use a tablet that is crumbling, contaminated, wet or otherwise damaged. Used charcoal can continue producing CO and retaining heat after it appears inactive, so never store or discard it until it is fully extinguished and cold.

Activated Charcoal Tablet FAQ
Can I burn these tablets indoors if a window is open?
No. CDC and CPSC guidance says never burn charcoal indoors. A window, fan or ordinary ventilation does not remove the carbon-monoxide hazard.
Can I use the tablets in a bedroom, meditation room or studio?
No. Do not use charcoal in any indoor room or other enclosed or partly enclosed space.
Are the tablets guaranteed to light in five seconds?
No. The page has no current batch-linked ignition test, and lighting behavior varies. Follow the ignition-tool instructions and keep the entire process outdoors.
Will each tablet burn for 60–90 minutes?
That duration is not guaranteed because no current test is attached and conditions vary. Never leave a tablet unattended, regardless of expected duration.
Is this charcoal safe to eat or use for detoxification?
No. This is a combustible product for outdoor aromatic heating, not a food, supplement, medicine or personal-care ingredient.
Can a lit or used tablet be returned?
Used, burned or altered goods may not meet return conditions. Inspect the pack before lighting anything and review the current policy first.
