Piece count, exact outline and resin distribution can vary because the product is sold by weight rather than by a guaranteed number of identical pieces. Review the selected variant, gallery and checkout total before ordering.
What do “one-sided” and “two-sided” mean here?
On this product page, the two terms are product labels used to separate variants by the visible pattern on the flat material. “Two-sided” does not by itself prove twice the resin, a stronger aroma or a higher independent grade. Resin distribution, density, moisture, cut thickness and heating method can all affect the result.
A buyer comparing the options should look at the photos tied to the selected variant, the pack weight and the current price. If a particular batch characteristic matters, contact us before checkout and ask for recent photos or the available lot documentation.
See the Natural Details in Our Photos
Our gallery helps you compare the natural colour, grain, shape and approximate scale of the pictured material. Agarwood varies from piece to piece, so the pack you receive will have its own pattern and outline. If a particular visual feature is important, contact us for a recent batch photo before ordering.
For a non-destructive buyer workflow, see how to evaluate real versus fake agarwood and the separate agarwood grading guide.
How should flat agarwood be heated?
Use a purpose-built electric/resin heater at a low setting and raise the heat gradually until the material releases aroma without rapidly blackening. Different pieces respond differently, so this product page does not prescribe one universal temperature. Stop or reduce heat when the piece chars or produces harsh smoke.
Never burn charcoal indoors. The CDC warns that burning charcoal produces carbon monoxide, including when it appears red, gray, black or white. If choosing charcoal, use it only in an open-air outdoor location away from doors, windows and vents, in a stable charcoal-rated burner on a non-combustible surface. Keep children, pets and combustibles away and supervise continuously until the charcoal and ash are fully extinguished and cold.
Read the step-by-step agarwood chip heating guide or the broader How to Use Agarwood hub before the first session. Browse compatible incense burners separately.
How much should you use?
Start with a small fragment that fits safely on the heating surface. There is no universal dose or fixed 15–30-minute session: piece mass, moisture, resin distribution, airflow and heat source change both duration and aroma. Let the burner cool fully before removing residue or adding more material.
How should the pieces be stored?
- Keep them dry in a clean, closed container away from direct sun and strong household odors.
- Do not add fragrance oil or water to the container; doing so changes the material and makes later evaluation unreliable.
- Label separated variants so the one-sided/two-sided and pack records are not mixed.
- If material arrives wet, moldy or different from the selected option, photograph it before use and contact support.

Flat agarwood FAQ
Is two-sided flat oud an official grade?
No. It is our name for the listed pattern option. It should not be read as an independent species, resin-percentage or universal quality certification.
Does the 30 g option mean a 30 cm chip?
No. The 30 g option is a pack weight. Exact piece count and dimensions vary; this product page does not guarantee a 30 cm piece.
What is the difference between the 5 g, 10 g and 30 g options?
They are net product-weight choices for the same listing. Select a pattern option and pack weight to see the exact current price and availability.
What temperature should I use?
There is no single guaranteed temperature for every piece and heater. Start low, increase gradually and reduce or stop when the wood rapidly blackens or produces harsh smoke.
Can I request a recent batch photo?
Yes. Contact us and we will share a recent batch photo when available. Our gallery remains useful for comparing visible form and surface pattern, while batch documents are the better source when origin or species details are essential.
Can I return a pack after burning part of it?
Please review our current Returns & Refunds policy before heating, wearing, resizing or otherwise altering the product. If anything arrives damaged or different from your order, photograph it before use and contact us within seven calendar days.
